Cydcor Community Members Help Sylmar

Top supplier of face-to-face sales, Cydcor Incorporated, made contributions to the hundreds of Sylmar homes devastated by the Sayre fires. As the fires surrounded the areas in Southern California, the Cydcor community members initially gathered to collect donations meant for the fire victims in Montecito. Since the donations were more than they could handle, the members refocused their outreach to the victims in the San Fernando Valley in Sylmar, which was one of the damaged areas. Majority of the families victimized by the accident were residents of the mobile home community at Oakridge Park.

In just a week, the company already had over 50 bags and packages of relief items and more such as bedding, clothes, towels, shoes, and a video game system with chairs, television set and a box of video games. The team members of the company were at the Sylmar Community Center distributing goods to the people involved in the fires.

Aside from the Cydcor community, there were other several volunteers from local churches who made nearby tennis courts into donation points for the fire victims, putting tents filled with house-ware, food, water, shoes and clothes. Such donations came from neighboring residents and companies.

“We’re glad Cydcor team members were able to make a difference, if even a small one, during this tragedy where so many families in our community lost their homes,” said Cydcor chief executive Gary Polson.
