Live Great Expectations with the Denver Singles Events and Matchmaking Service
Sometimes I hate to say it, because life can be lonesome without a date. Get this, this week I ate a whole bag of Oreos. On a weekend that comes from being alone, obviously. I pretend to be ashamed about it. Does that tell you anything? Actually, it’s when I honestly considered singles events in Dallas or Denver.
Easy solution. I’ll ease back into dating with a matchmaking service like Great Expectations Dallas. Definitely could do me good. My dating life is worth bringing up. We were at my 40th birthday in Dallas last week, my sister wanted to know if I’ve met the woman I’m going to marry. At first I didn’t know what to say to that. My response was, “No.”
No surprise that The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) chimed in along the lines of my companionship situation. I quipped to all of them: “Seriously, do you even know me?”
Do you have any idea what happened next? No one knew what I was talking about, as usual. Immediately, I went to the gym so I could clear my head. What a waste of time! Nothing was helping and I needed some damn help. Doug, who is now a Budist monk or something advised that I join Great Expectations. I said, “Sure, whatever.” See, everything always works out. I love Great Expectations Denver.
At the time, dating events were a novel thing as I am a simple guy. I’d never done anything like this before, that my hands started sweating. That mess didn’t pull the plug on the evening. The evening was a limo pub crawl from heaven. The gems of the occasion had to be the attractive, single women.
Afterwards, I realized why so many people show up to these amazing Dallas singles nights with Great Expectations, I bumped into a handful of marvelous guys and gals that obviously have similar ideas for how dating should be done. Don’t know why I ever let everyone give their two cents about me being single at my age. Astoundingly enough, dating right in Dallas with Great Expectations is enjoyable and like a dream come true.
