Obesity is something that one in every 4 adults suffer from. It’s serious and often hard to cure. Obesity means that a person is over weight and typically has 30 percent or more body fat. A person can be overweight and not be obese. This would be the case with someone who lifts weights. Body builders often have very little fat with a lot of muscle. Muscle weighs more then fat does which is why they measure your body fat and not entirely by weight. Here are some obesity facts.

Heart Disease- Just about 70 percent of all heart problems are in obese people. This is a large amount of people and it shows you that being obese raises your chances of a heart disease.

Not serious- Over half of the people who suffer from obesity don’t realize they are obese and if they do, they don’t consider it to be a problem. They just think its fine that they are overweight.

Death- Over 200,000 people die each year for the sole reason of being obese. This goes to show you just how serious this condition really is.

Diabetes- Over half of the diabetes cases fall in with obese people. When you become obese you more then double your chances of getting diabetes. Diabetes can lead to so many other problems. This is an obesity fact that you must take seriously.

Cures- Obesity is the number one heath condition in the world that can be fixed. There are many options out there for obese people. Many can be fixed with a proper diet and exercise and doctors are trained to help get obese people on the right plan
